Spring On Cocktails
Well hello there, sunshine! We are so very happy to see you.
Spring cleaning is well underway, the grass is green and lush, and colour is popping up everywhere! It’s a perfect time to mix up a fresh, garden-inspired cocktail for sipping as you work on getting those flower beds ready or for enjoying on those first few patio evenings.
Open a window and let the fresh breeze blow through – because spring cocktails (and mocktails) are in bloom.
May Flowers Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces STAR OF BOMBAY 750ML
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons agave nectar
- 6 oz red grapefruit juice
- Edible flowers for garnish (optional)
Steps:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add the gin, lemon juice, agave nectar and grapefruit juice
- Shake vigorously for 10 seconds
- Pour into a coupe or martini glass
- Garnish with edible flowers (optional)
Pickle-Peachy-Keen Caesar
Ingredients:
- 1 oz SNOWFOX DILL 750ML
- 1 oz 100% PATRON SILVER TEQUILA 750ML
- 1 oz peach juice
- ¼ teaspoon Thai chili hot sauce
- 1 dash ANGOSTURA BITTERS
- 3 grinds fresh cracked salt and black pepper
- 4 oz Mott’s Clamato Original
- Rim > Fresh salt and pepper with toasted citrus zest
Steps:
- Rim a highball glass with citrus and rimmer
- Fill the glass to the top with ice
- Add the ingredients in the order listed
- Stir well to mix the cocktail, and garnish
Kraken Typhoon
Ingredients:
- 1.25 oz KRAKEN BLACK SPICED RUM 1140ML
- 1 oz Passionfruit Juice
- 1 oz Pineapple Juice
- .5 oz Orange Juice
- .5 oz Lime Juice
- .25 oz Grenadine
- Garnish > Pineapple Wedge, Maraschino Cherry
Steps:
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass
- Add ice to mixing glass and shake vigorously
- Add ice to hurricane glass
- Strain into glass
Mocktails
Mix up some fresh for spring mocktails – they’ve got all the light and refreshing flavours you love this time of year minus the alcohol.
Spring Citrus Mocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups orange juice
- 2 Cups unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 Cups lemon-lime soda
- 2 Cups frozen berries
Steps:
- Mix the orange juice, pineapple juice, lemon and lime juices and refrigerate until time to serve.
- Add in lemon-lime soda and frozen berries, pour into your favourite glass and add a garnish if desired.
Elderflower Mocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Elderflower syrup
- Club soda
- Ice
- Fresh berries
Steps:
- Fill a tall glass halfway with ice
- Add the elderflower syrup and fruit
- Top the drink off with club soda and stir well with a bar spoon (the syrup is fairly heavy so be sure to stir thoroughly)
- Enjoy immediately
