Irish-inspired cocktails that are pure gold – and perfectly paired with any St. Paddy’s Day celebration

Whether they incorporate some of our most popular Irish Whiskeys or they’re just green-themed (we’re looking at you, Cucumber Wasabi), these cocktail recipes are a fun and festive addition to any St. Paddy’s Day spread.

Packed with flavour, these tasty treats are so simple to put together – which means you won’t need the luck o’ the Irish on your side to make them a party hit.


Irish Ale Cocktail

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Pour the whiskey into a highball glass
  2. Squeeze the juice from all 3 lime wedges on top of the whiskey
  3. Fill the glass with ice
  4. Top with ginger beer and stir well

 


Dubliner

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Add the whiskey, Grand Marnier, sweet vermouth and orange bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
  3. Garnish with a green or red maraschino cherry

 


Cucumber Wasabi Martini

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle 3 cucumber slices with the wasabi and simple syrup
  2. Fill with ice and add the gin and lemon juice
  3. Shake well
  4. Fine strain into a cocktail glass
  5. Garnish with a slice of cucumber

 

Mocktails

The Lucky Charmer

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts grapefruit juice
  • 1 part sparkling water
  • 1/4 lime
  • 1 drop green food colouring
  • crushed ice
  • ice cubes

Steps:

  1. Fill a shaker with ice and add grapefruit juice + sparkling water
  2. Squeeze lime juice into shaker and add green food colouring
  3. Shake vigorously until well combined
  4. Pour into glasses filled with crushed ice
  5. Garnish with something green!

Bunch O’Green Punch

Ingredients:

  • 2L lime sherbert
  • 2 bottles dealcoholized wine
  • 2L ginger ale
  • 1/2 can pineapple juice
  • Lemon and lime slices, to garnish

Steps:

  1. Add the lime sherbert to a large punch bowl. Pour the champagne on top of the sherbert. Then, slowly add the ginger ale and pineapple juice to the mixture
  2. Stir a bit to help the sherbert become foamy and combine the ingredients. Garnish with lemon and lime slices. Use an ice ring to keep the punch cold, if you’d like
