The Holidays are officially over! Although we may have over-indulged ourselves at family dinners and said YES to every snack available, it’s a new year with new goals. We’ve found some low-calorie cocktails that not only taste great, but may align with your new health goals too!

Light Irish Coffee

Light Irish Coffee

We’re not sure if Irish Coffee is considered a cocktail or not but it’s too good not to include, and having a warm drink during these cold winter days is a great match.

Coffee inherently doesn’t have any calories, so the fact that we are using Bailey’s Light with 40% less sugar and calories makes this the perfect low-calorie drink while keeping all the great flavors!

For some additional flavour that matches well, we are going to add a small amount of caramel drizzle around the inside of the glass and some whipped cream on top. A small amount goes a long way and we also want to keep the calories down, so make sure not to go overboard on the whipped cream or caramel.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 ounces black coffee
  • 2 ounces Bailey’s Light
  • Caramel drizzle
  • Whipped cream

INSTRUCTIONS

Brew hot coffee of your choice. Take the glass and add a small amount of caramel drizzle to the inside of the glass all the way around. Pour in 3 ounces of black coffee and 2 ounces of Bailey’s Light. Add a small amount of whipped cream on top, and then drizzle a small amount of caramel on top.

Gin-Gin Mule

Gin-Gin Mule

You may be familiar with the Moscow Mule, but a very underrated version is the Gin-Gin Mule, which substitutes the vodka for gin. In this cocktail recipe we are going to use 18.8 Gin which has half the calories as regular gin, giving us a healthier option!

We recommend using a chilled copper style cup if you have one. The copper helps retain the cold to keep your cocktail cool longer! It’s also a signature piece of any Mule cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 ounces 18.8 gin
  • 1.5 ounces lime juice
  • 3 ounces ginger ale (or ginger beer if you can find it)
  • 1 lime slice
  • Ice

INSTRUCTIONS

Prior to making your cocktail, take your copper cup and put it in the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes to ensure it’s chilled. Once chilled, take the copper cup out of the fridge or freezer and add ice. Pour in 1.5 ounces of 18.8 gin, 1.5 ounces of lime juice, 3 ounces of ginger ale (or ginger beer) and stir. Add a lime slice to the rim for garnish.

Skinny Sangria

Skinny Sangria

The typical Sangria is the go-to cocktail for most wine lovers, and is usually over 300 calories. With our Skinny Sangria recipe, we will be cutting that calorie count by over half!

In this cocktail, we are going to be using a red wine called Weight Watchers On Point Smooth Red. It’s a delicious low-calorie wine featuring dark fruit and plum flavours with a hint on spice and a soft & smooth finish.

We’re also going to use one of our favorite new products to compliment it, Pump House Crafty Vodka Grapefruit & Tangerine!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ounces Weight Watchers On Point Smooth Red wine
  • 1.5 ounces Pump House Crafty Vodka Grapefruit & Tangerine
  • Sliced strawberries or raspberries
  • Sliced grapefruit
  • Sliced orange
  • Blackberries
  • 3 ounces diet 7-Up or Sprite

INSTRUCTIONS

Slice up some strawberries or raspberries, grapefruit and oranges. Add those to a glass and add in some blackberries too. Pour in 2 ounces of Weight Watchers On Point Smooth Red Wine, 1.5 ounces of Pump House Crafty Vodka Grapefruit & Tangerine, 3 ounces of diet 7-Up or Sprite and stir.

Cranberry Margarita

Cranberry Margarita

A popular winter drink that helps you dream of summer, the Cranberry Margarita is easy to make and tastes great!

In this cocktail we are going to use 1800 Silver Tequila, which is Made from 100% Weber blue agave. The liquid is double distilled, and a special selection of white tequilas is blended together. The result is a smooth premium tequila that is dry, warming, and great for mixing in cocktails.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ounce 1800 Silver Tequila
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 3 ounces diet cranberry juice
  • 3 ounces club soda
  • Frozen cranberries
  • Ice

INSTRUCTIONS

In a glass, add ice and pour in 1 ounce of 1800 Silver Tequila, 1/2 ounce of lime juice, 3 ounces of diet cranberry juice and 3 ounces of club soda. Add in frozen cranberries for garnish, which also gives some additional taste!

Mojito

Mojito

One of the most popular and easy to make cocktails you can get, making a low-calorie version is just as easy.

The Mojito doesn’t use a lot of ingredients, so just switching out some of its typical ingredients for healthier versions make this cocktail an instant low-calorie favorite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 ounces Bacardi Superior white rum
  • 3 ounces diet 7-Up or Sprite
  • 3 ounces club soda (Fresca for some added flavor)
  • 1.5 ounces lime juice
  • Ice
  • Mint leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

In a glass, add ice and pour 1.5 ounces of rum, 3 ounces of diet 7-Up or Sprite, 3 ounces of club soda and 1.5 ounces of lime juice and stir. Add mint leaves for garnish.

Sea Breeze

Sea Breeze

The Sea Breeze is one of the most tasty cocktails you can make that is jam packed with a fruity taste, and very easy to make a low-calorie version!

The secret to making a low-calorie version of the Sea Breeze isn’t to use a different alcohol, but instead switch up the type of Cranberry and Grapefruit juice you’re using. Most groceries stores offer diet versions of Cranberry and Grapefruit juice with drastically reduced sugar and calories, and that’s exactly what you want to use in this cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 ounces Snowfox vodka
  • 2 ounces Bailey’s Light
  • 3 ounces diet cranberry juice
  • 1.5 ounces diet grapefruit juice
  • 1 lime slice
  • Ice
  • 3 ounces carbonated soda water (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

In a glass, add ice and pour the 1.5 ounces of vodka, 3 ounces of diet cranberry juice, 1.5 ounces of diet grapefruit juice and stir. Garnish with a lime slice on the rim of the glass.

If you have more room in your glass and want to add some kick, pour in 3 ounces of carbonated soda water, which is 100% calorie free!
