When warm days give way to cool nights and the flip flops get packed away again until next year – the transition into fall is the perfect time to try a new cocktail recipe.

These recipes will help you use up the last of the ‘summer’ spirits lingering in your cupboard…and they introduce some spicier new flavours into the mix too!

Applejack Rabbit

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces apple brandy
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ¾ ounce orange juice
  • ½ ounce maple syrup
  • 1 lemon

Steps:

  1. Add the apple brandy, lemon juice, orange juice and maple syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled
  2. Strain into a chilled glass
  3. Garnish with a lemon twist

 


New York Sour

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Add bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and fill it with a handful of ice
  2. Shake until chilled
  3. Fill a glass with ice and strain the cocktail shaker into the glass
  4. Carefully pour the red wine over the back of a spoon just above the surface of the drink, creating a layer on top
  5. Garnish with lemon twist

 


Gin Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ ounces Star of Bombay Gin
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • ¾ ounces simple syrup
  • Club soda (to top)
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cherry

Steps:

  1. Add the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice
  2. Shake until chilled
  3. Fill a glass with ice and strain the cocktail shaker into the glass
  4. Top with club soda
  5. Garnish with 1 lemon wedge and 1 cherry

 


Perfect Rose Spritzer

Ingredients:

  • 5 ounces dry rosé
  • 4-6 fresh strawberries
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • 2-3 lemon slices
  • Sparkling water or club soda

Steps:

  1. Cut strawberries into chunks and cut the lemon into slices
  2. Add strawberry chunks and lemon slices to a glass
  3. Muddle together until juicy
  4. Fill glass with ice
  5. Pour in rosé
  6. Top with sparkling water or club soda of your choice
  7. Garnish and enjoy!

Celebrate Vodka Day, October 4th!

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Combine Vodka, lime juice, triple sec, ice and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker
  2. Shake well until chilled
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass
  4. Garnish with lime wedge

 


Blue coconut margarita

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Add ice to a cocktail shaker
  2. Pour Tequila, Blue Curacao, cream of coconut, lime juice and simple syrup to the cocktail shaker
  3. Shake well for 30 seconds or until chilled
  4. Rim glass with salt
  5. Pour cocktail shaker into glass
