We get it. This is the time of year people like to watch what they eat (and drink) after the busy holiday season. Here are some cocktail recipes with lower calories, so you can enjoy without feeling guilty.
1 bag herbal tea
1 teaspoon honey
Place tea bag in mug and add whiskey. Pour in boiling water to fill mug. Add honey and lemon slice. Let steep for desired tea taste, then remove tea bag.
Make it with: Canadian Club Reserve 750ml
3oz dry red wine
2oz club soda
1 tablespoon unsweetened cranberry juice
Frozen cranberries & sprig of rosemary, for garnish
Combine wine, club soda and cranberry juice in a glass with ice. Garnish with frozen cranberries & rosemary, as desired.
Make it with: Torrao Red 1000ml
Light Gin Fizz
0.5 oz lemon juice
½ teaspoon honey
1 ½ oz gin
3 oz club soda
Lemon wedges & rosemary sprig, for garnish
Combine ingredients in glass with ice & stir. Garnish with lemon & rosemary, as desired.
Make it with: Ungava Canadian Premium Gin 750ml
White Wine Spritzer
4 strawberries, diced
1 teaspoon lime juice
2oz white wine
Unsweetened flavoured seltzer (we suggest lime, but you can try any flavour)
Fill a tall glass halfway with ice. Add wine, lime juice & strawberries, then fill the rest of the glass with seltzer. Gently stir.
1 ½ oz vodka
2 tablespoons club soda
2 teaspoons unsweetened cranberry juice
2 teaspoons lime juice
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half full of ice. Shake well and strain into martini glass. Garnish with lime, if desired.
